The reason some people don’t know for sure if they are going to Heaven when they die is because they just don’t know. Jesus Christ was born in Israel supernaturally to a virgin Jewish woman named Mary and lived a sinless life for thirty-three years. At the age of thirty-three Jesus was scourged and had a crown of thorns pressed onto His head then Jesus was crucified. Three days after Jesus died on a cross and was placed in a grave Jesus rose from the dead as Jesus said would happen before Jesus died. If someone tells you that they are going to die and in three days come back to life again and it happens then this person must be the real deal. Jesus Christ is the only person that ever lived a perfect sinless life. This is why Jesus is able to cover our sins(misdeeds) with His own blood because Jesus is sinless. The Holy Bible says, "In Him(Jesus) we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins…" (Ephesians 1:7) If you would like God to forgive you of your past, present and future sins just ask Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Saviour. I know this posting is off-topic for any of the newsgroups it has been posted on, but after reading your blasphemous response and other similar tripe, I am convinced that several people on this newsgroup at least need to hear ‘The Good News’. I would like to thank the person who posted it and The Holy Spirit who inspired it. In response to your insult against my Heavenly Father, I would like to set the record straight. Satan is the evil one and man is his instrument. And if you don’t believe this, just listen to the daily news and hear report after report of the evil deeds Satan has influenced. Pitting man against man, thus achieving Satan’s ultimate goal…our destruction and our eternal separation from God. I can hear it now…’If God is so good and loving, why does He let all of these terrible things happen?’ Free will. Man has been given the capacity to do truly wonderful selfless things for the betterment of the world, through love, peace, faith, forgiveness, charity, mercy and compassion, but all too often man chooses the selfish path of hate, revenge, envy, greed, lust, deceit, murder and indifference. God doesn’t force himself on us; the choice has always been ours. We are free wage war on each other, to hate, kill and destroy, to live immoral self-indulgent life or hide in a hole of indifference. But when millions people around the world suffer and die due to disease, famine, war and poverty, don’t start shifting the blame. Just like Dumbledore said, "It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are…..". So it is your choice and your God given right to sit there at your computer, using all the gifts and freedom God has so graciously given you, so you can badmouth Him. I don’t think for a moment that anything I can say here will change your mind, but I pray that it will at least open your eyes to the possibility. Because if even half the people with your attitude could see the truth, and embrace the teachings of Jesus Christ, the world would be a much safer, happier and healthier place for all of God’s child. It’s only blasphemous if you believe it in the first place. Is it blasphemous for me to say Zeus is evil? Or Santa Claus? Or the Easter Bunny? No, of course not. He doesn’t force himself on us, he just says, "Believe in me and do what I say or I’ll torture you for all eternity." Yeah, that’s a real meaningful choice. If I put a gun to your head, cocked back the hammer and said "Give me your money or I’ll blow your brains out," could I then argue in court later that you had free will to choose to give me your money and you chose to voluntarily hand it over? No one would fall for that nonsense and I’d be rightly convicted. Yet when it comes to god, somehow all logic and common sense goes out the window.
