George W. Bush, Again  Welcome back to the BuzzFlash.com GOP Hypocrite of the Week. Our apologies if you just ate lunch, but sometimes we feel like a dog that can’t keep from returning to its vomit. Oh, we could have picked the interminably creepy James Dobson as our GOP Hypocrite of the Week, or the White House’s "Bad Will" Ambassador Karen Hughes, or the irredeemably disingenuous White House Iraq Working Group honorary member, Judith Miller. But like that mutt, we keep returning to the top dog hypocrite: George W. Bush. Now, here is a guy who kept saying that the White House didn’t condone torture and that any abuse of Muslim prisoners that occurred was do to a "few bad apples." There were just a few things wrong with this PR spin. For one thing, it was a lie. There’s even the proof in the form of a memo by then White House Counsel Alberto Gonzales laying out the legal justifications for torture. Two, despite confirmation that senior Pentagon and White House officials were aware of torture, they were virtually all promoted — while the low level stiffs took the rap. Hey, Gonzales got to be America’s Attorney General. Then, last week the normally Stepford Republicans in the senate revolted and passed a bill that included a ban on torture. Surprisingly, there were only nine pro-torture Republican votes! Hmmm, is that progress or what? And what did Bush threaten to do? Why, to veto the entire bill because it prohibited the kind of torture that George claimed the administration didn’t engage in. Okay, so if we understand Bush’s policy, it’s something like this: we don’t torture people, but you better not keep us from torturing people, because we do. Whoa! That’s some jaw-dropping hypocrisy. Bush did have a macabre joy in setting the record for executing people when he was Governor of Texas, so you can kind of understand why torture would hold a special spot in his heart. But if torture is your official policy as a president, then stand up like a man and admit it. Otherwise, you’re just the BuzzFlash GOP Hypocrite of the Week, yet again. Remember our motto at BuzzFlash.com: So many Republican hypocrites, so little time. Catch up with you soon. http://www.gophypocrites.com/2005/10/hyp05042.html

When The Dog Has Returned To Eat Its Vomit "I am not here to teach you Islam. My job is to clean you up.  The one to come after me will teach you Islam." The above quote was attributed to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad in the September 17, 2004 edition of the Muslim Journal newspaper. The article entitled, "Honoring Mr. Elijah Muhammad," by Imam Mikal Saahir, gives a hypocritical salute and false account of the facts pertaining to the life of Messenger Muhammad and his 44 years of labor among us.  The quote is an oft -repeated lie spread by the son of the Messenger, Imam Wallace D. Muhammad, and his blinded followers.  In a separate article in the paper another writer claims that following the passing of the Hon. Elijah Muhammad on February 25, 1975, the followers selected Wallace D. Mohammed as the new leader of the Nation of Islam. First of all, it is an established fact that the Honorable Elijah Muhammad from the beginning of his mission until his departure from this world in 1975, stated that he was indeed the Last Messenger of Allah, taught by Allah (who came in the person of Master Fard Muhammad).  In his monumental book, "Message To The Blackman in America" on page 306, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad describes his mission to an interviewer from the National Education Television Network.  "My mission is to give life to the dead.  What I teach them brings them out of death and into life.  My mission, as the Messenger, is to bring the truth to the world before the world is destroyed.  There will be no other Messenger.  I am the last and after me will come God Himself.  I do not say I will live so long as that, but when God comes, if it pleases Him, I may be with Him.  However, if I am not with Him, this is the final.  This truth I bring will give you the knowledge of yourself and of God." Mr. Saahir desires to imply that Imam Mohammed is the one responsible for delivering the religion of Islam to blacks here in America, using a bogus quote of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad to substantiate this LIE.  Mr. Saahir never shares with the readers where and when this comment was made.  Why not?  It is because the comment was never made by Messenger Elijah Muhammad.  This type of hypocrisy and underhanded deception is nothing new in the history of Imam Mohammed, whom we can trace for at least forty years or more as one who has sought the respect and love garnered by his father. In a world with over 4 billion Muslims, it is only those who choose to follow the teachings of Messenger Elijah Muhammad that he finds it necessary to attempt to sit and judge.  Publicly he mocks and slanders the Great Mahdi, Master Fard Muhammad. In the Holy Quran, Chapter 42 entitled, "The Counsel", Section 2, "Judgment is Given" Verse 10 reads: And in whatever you differ, the judgment thereof is with Allah.  That is Allah, my Lord; on Him I rely, and to Him I turn. This verse points out to the believer the appropriate and wisest way to handle any difference of opinion with another believer. Imam Mohammed has positioned himself to be considered one of the most foolish men in history, plagued with confusion and disgrace. For 40 years prior to Imam Mohammed’s leadership, the Nation of Islam received world wide acclaim for its discipline, unity, morality, work ethic, and emphasis on independent education.  Under Mohammed’s new direction into mainstream Islam, the Nation of Islam’s respect and dignity quickly spiraled downward into bewilderment and shame.  Squandered were farmlands in Michigan, Alabama, Georgia, and Indiana.  A newspaper printing plant and cold storage facilities, numerous properties and business enterprises, an estimated 80 million empire and thousands of jobs gone. Many of the men and women returned to the savage lifestyles from which they had been rescued.  Openly brothers and sisters began to engage in the use of narcotics, criminal activity, adultery, fornication and other acts previously unthinkable. As the leader, he ordered the removal of the crescent and star from the mosque in Chicago, and announced that the Quran would be the Nations new symbol.  Later, believers were instructed to begin to refer to themselves as Bilalians, members of the World Community of Al-Islam.  Abandoning the Honorable Elijah Muhammad’s program for self-development and independence, (feeling that as he stated to television host Gil Noble on "Like It Is" in 1992 that the idea was unrealistic) he encouraged his flock to integrate into the American society.  Caucasians were now permitted to frequent and join the mosque; the most notable of the white race was notorious cult leader, Jim Jones, who was responsible for the mass suicide and murder of thousands of people (some of whom were former Muslims in the NOI) in the country of Guyana, a special guest of Imam Mohammed. Today, in an effort to promote an Islamic convention here in Chicago, Imam Mohammed like a dog who has returned to eat its vomit, has begun to associate himself with symbols and messages of his father.  The Honorable Elijah Muhammad and Imam Mohammed share space on billboards and leaflets throughout the city with the words DO FOR SELF.  In the September issue of N’DIGO magazine, Imam Mohammed is seen photographed on the cover with the crescent, moon and star. Throughout the September 17, 2004 issue of the Muslim Journal entitled, DO FOR SELF, imagery synonymous with the Nation of Islam fills the pages with slogans such as LEARN TECHNOLOGY, WE NEED FARMLAND, and the famous drawing of the black man in Asia joining hands with his black brother in America, reaching across the earth. In "Message To The Blackman in America" on pages 306 thru 308, the Messenger compares the actions of Wallace to those of the Prophet David’s son, Absalom.  Absalom stole the affection of the people so that he would become king instead of his father. In order to understand the present it is imperative that we receive a clear and concise account of the past.  On the subject of the life of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, his teachings, and the events that have transpired since his departure in 1975, the world can be assured that this history has been well documented and safeguarded in the form of film, audio/visual tapes, and books. No longer is the public bound by hearsay, folklore, and personal opinions.  In 1987, the Coalition for the Remembrance of Elijah Muhammad (C.R.O.E.) was established by Munir Muhammad, Shahid Muslim, and Halif Muhammad, for the express purpose of knocking out the brains of falsehood and hypocrisy every time it raises its ugly head. http://www.croe.org/vomit.html

Question:

http://www.cpusa.org Perspective: Communist Party USA supports John Kerry By D.P. HEIMBOLD St. Augustine The southern Democrats must be thrilled by the news that the Communist Party of The United States of America, CPUSA, is publicly supporting the election of John Kerry. The CPUSA has made available on its Web site, cpusa.org, an advertisement entitled Top Ten Reasons To Defeat Bush. This advertisement can be downloaded. The communist party urges readers to place this ad in local newspapers throughout the country to defeat President Bush. Remarkably, the "Top Ten Reasons" of the Communist party are identical to those of the Democratic party; out-sourcing, homosexual rights, abortion and the like. At first, I thought "this is only a coincidence." The Democratic party of the United States couldn’t be in lock step with the Marxists! So, I wrote to a spokesman of the CPUSA in Georgia and here is part of his letter: " The CPUSA supports the John Kerry campaign with donations and volunteer effort. We believe that defeating George Bush is the single most important issue this November …" Next, I discovered that one of Kerry’s campaign themes is " Let America be America Again." This slogan was borrowed from a Communist poet, Langston Hughes. This is not common knowledge to the average American. "Let America be America Again" sounds good but is a rambling, gloomy poem. Interestingly, another poem by Langston goes as follows; "Goodbye, Christ Jesus, Lord, God, Jehova, Beat it on away from here now. Make way for a new guy with no religion at all — A real guy named Marx, communist, Lenin, Peasant, Stalin, Worker, ME — I said, ME!" Then, if this was not enough to convince me that the Democratic party has lost it, a third discovery! A Vietnam vet group took a trip to Communist Hanoi to investigate a report that John Kerry was in the "Hanoi Hall of Fame." Yes, there is a museum in Hanoi with a section dedicated to foreign activists who help defeat the United States Military in Vietnam. Of course, you would expect Jane Fonda’s picture to be there. But, alas, there is John Kerry’s picture shaking the hand of a communist official. Never has there been such a tragedy. Never has there been such a threat to America. The Democratic party has been taken over by the far, far left! Not only the communists but the homosexual activists who are appalled that George Bush is married to a woman! They are enraged that the president wants a constitutional amendment to protect traditional marriage between a man and woman. Then we have the ACLU running to a federal activist judge with every piece of legislation that doesn’t fit into their leftist agenda. They support every Democratic socialist whim. The removal of the Ten Commandments is their top priority! Why can’t our children read? The liberal NEA runs the government schools. You can’t mention God or the Ten Commandments, but you can teach Islam and have the children pray to Allah and pass out condoms. The teachers union is solidly behind the Democratic candidate, John Kerry. How about the AFL-CIO? Solidly Democratic. How about the press? Solidly behind the left. Case in point: Viacom owns CBS and Dan Rather. Dan is really the president of the American Leftist Establishment. Every night Dan informs the country what we, the troops and the president did wrong that day. His boss, Viacom, just happens to own the company that published Richard Clark’s attack on George Bush and company. Clarke was the hero of the 9-11 hearing. Viacom pushed up the publication date of Clark’s book to coincide with the hearings. Oh, by the way, Viacom not only owns CBS and Dan Rather, but MTV! Yes, the same MTV that featured Janet Jackson’s breast at the Super Bowl half time! Hollywood? There might be one or two votes for Bush from the filmmakers. But don’t count on it. Michael Moore’s "Fahrenheit 9/11" propaganda film hurt the president. Impressionable youth fall victim to lies. But, not to worry. Truth means nothing to the Left. The quality of character of the Hollywood crowd is best illustrated by the recent antics of the starlet Britney Spears. After her 24-hour marriage, Britney is now engaged to a loser who left his unmarried, pregnant girlfriend and little child. There was not one eyebrow raised by the Hollywood-infatuated Network News. This is normal behavior for the left. The deck is really stacked against the re-election of President Bush. Now even the mass murderer Saddam Hussein agrees with Kennedy and Kerry that the president is a criminal. Before the election in November the press will clean up Hussein to look like a saint and George W. Bush a gangster. John Kerry promises to save the union by going to the UN. Kerry may have to deal with Muslim Kofi Annan’s son, Kojo, who received "consultant" fees from Swiss company, Cotecna, which oversaw Iraq’s Oil-For-Food program. Some of the $10 billion that was funneled through the "family run" UN program ended up in al Taqwa and Asat Trust, two of al-Qaida’s front organizations. Funny, there are al-Qaida in Florida and the UN, but not in Iraq! Alas, but who is chopping off heads in Iraq? While the bulk of our National Guard are over seas fighting terrorist, every leftist weirdo is coming out of the closet to hi-jack the November presidential election. The question is: What are the "real" southern Democrats going to do? Will they join the CPUSA, NEA, ACLU and a host of other radical leftist groups or help save the country from this mob.

Response:

It may be necessary to arrest and try the entire ACLU under the Ricoh statutes.  If they’re not racketeers, I don’t know who is. The problem with attacking the commies through the courts is that the judicial branch has been so thoroughly penetrated by the leftist cause a fair trial is *not* guaranteed.  The stench from the bench is overpowering lately. In the final analysis, the Second Amendment may loom large. Yeah, I have a couple "nice combos" myself, a Fender and a Marshall. I don’t THINK they’re commies trying to take over the government, but then, after reading this thread, I’m not so sure anymore. Might be some kinda commie plot. I’ll load my shotgun and keep an eye on them, just in case. Zoid

If it still exists, there’s a website called nice tits – it’s for birdwatchers. Some of the pictures there are hilarious. Dry British humor.

How’s your Nice Combo doing, Jim? I heard that you got to jam with it recently. A friend Tom brought his ‘67 SR to the annual Grazfest that my buddy Joe Graziano (restraunteer) hosts. Tom is the second owner and the amp has hardly a scratch. He’ll likely have me service it (it could use it) when I’m done with his Bassman. Compared to my Pro Reverb, it was lacking in the volume department, so it’s not yet, but *will* be a Nice Combo. -Dave

It’s not the elder Joe (we lost him to cancer a few years back), but the younger one (not the youngest, though). >Where/when is this merriment?

He has a big get-together/party every labor day at his house in Bowdoin. It’s always a blast. >I’d come to Lewiston but it’s sort of >like going from Poland to Germany…

I’m at the south end of Lewiston (towards Lisbon), where things are quite uncity-like (if that’s what you meant). We went through your neck of the woods a few weeks back on the way to the White Mountains (took the kids up Mt. Washington). Bridgton doesn’t change too much. I see the drive-in is still open. -Dave

>It may be necessary to arrest and try the entire ACLU under the >Ricoh statutes.  If they’re not racketeers, I don’t know who is.

That’s RICO (Ricoh is a photcopier company) but I don’t remember what the RICo acronym stands for off hand. The ACLU is an organization which has a central goal of supporting the Bill of Rights of the US Constitution. These rights to most folk are very important since they cover little things like freedom of speech, freedom to practice or not practice your religion of choice, freedom of association, the right to a speedy trial etc. They have had clients as diverse as individual citizens, churches, schools, the Nazi party, the KKK and even got involved in some cases in support of the NRA (over advertising in a free speech case) for that matter even Bob Barr and Judicial Watch has been involved with them recently. They take cases that involve folks that turn my stomach but that is the nature of a free society like we have. As an American it is my duty to support free speech for all not just the folks I agree with.  It comes down to the fact that the freedom we cherish here in America is not easy, it is a citizenship that demands that we work every day to make it work. We need to support the rights of those we abhor as much as the ones we adore otherwise we will not have the rights we love so much. In essence we can not truly enjoy these right ourselves without making them available for all regardless of creed or beliefs. I believe the right has made a serious error in attacking this bastion of freedom as a strategy they need the right to express themselves as much as anyone else does. >The problem with attacking the commies through the courts >is that the judicial branch has been so thoroughly penetrated >by the leftist cause a fair trial is *not* guaranteed.  The stench >from the bench is overpowering lately. >In the final analysis, the Second Amendment may loom large.

Tough call which is worse:  passively accepting we’re living in the system Marx & Lenin dreamed of with candidates now openly supported by commies, or making believe we’re in a constitutionally-limited republic… What *is* America’s present form of gov’t, based upon what is practiced & academically-sound definitions of forms of gov’t, vs what may be memorialized on some piece of paper? Interesting that one asks a lawyer that Q, since until the Constitution the practice of law in the Confederation a la the Anglo-Saxon system of jurisprudence was outlawed. Interesting that the article speaks of "schools run by the NEA", when what we have is the Soviet Polytech System of Workforce Training engineered, built & run by much bigger fish (the UN & originally the now-defunct no-longer-needed UNESCO). Interesting that the article speaks of commie rejection of Christ, Who taught obedience without complaint to a rather merciless & brutal Roman government. Many conflicts of logic & truth, no light shining on either side…

It is?  :-)  Never went, I think it would make a better outdoor concert arena or maybe a log landing.  AFAIK there is no woods here now, it’s suburban Mass by  proxy.  B’tn has changed a great deal – we now have higher taxes than L/A, an honest police cheif for the 1st time in 30 years, only 1 1/2 bars, a new-age seasonal folk club, downtown has stopped falling in on itself, you have to make sealed bids on dump pickings, and we are about to get our own real soopahmarkit, yessah!  Soon we will be posh like Naples, without the income base – when Mass will just re-annex the place.  Then it will be time to sell out, haul S/V Free Three II down to Casco Bay, bang a right at Chesapeake & head ‘er down the ditch. What ever happened to the guys from the old Innkeepers – are any still around playing somewhere?

HUH?  Certainly, you aren’t suggesting that I’m not welcome at AGA, are you? Question:

Three of us are planning a trip to Andalusia in mid-March, and are planning to spend some time in Seville and perhaps making a trip to Gibralter or Morocco.  Our thought now is to fly into Malaga and rent a car from there, so transportation should be no problem. We are planning to arrive in Malaga on a Friday afternoon, and stay until the following Sunday (9 days, not 2).  Other than that, we are flexible in our plans.   My thought is that I would like to visit the Costa del Sol, and the other guys might be more interested in the beaches than I am, but would rather stay somewhere else, and most of what I want to see would be toward Seville, and then South from there (a marshy nature preserve I saw in one book looked great). We are all in our mid-30s, and enjoy architecture, wine, art, history, music, bars, and people. Any suggestions as to a place to make our base camp?  Any little towns, or medium-sized towns, that would be good places to start?  It wouldn’t bother us to rent a place for a week and still spend a night somewhere else in Seville or even Morocco if the spirit moved us.  I guess I’d like to be somewhere between Malaga and Seville, in a town that would be fun just by itself, less touristy than the coast (although something on the coast further West would be fine), and hopefully a little less expensive than the more traditional tourist destinations.  I don’t want to put a dollar figure on what we’d spend, but we’d rather spend our money on going places and doing things than accomodations. Sorry if I’ve over- or under-explained our situation, and appreciate all the comments I’ve seen from people in this group on my prior posts about other trips I’ve made (this will be my 4th to Europe – we’re from South Dakota – but the others will be making their 1st).  I look forward to your recommendations, and am really looking forward to the trip. A day-trip (or even a single overnight) in Morocco is unlikely to be satisfying unless you fly directly to somewhere like Marrakech. It takes about 3 hours to get across the straits (or you can take the fast boat but then you have to deal with getting from Ceuta into Morocco) and another few hours to get from Tangier to somewhere interesting and enjoyable like Fes or Meknes. It’s well worth doing, but it’s worth giving at least a few days to. For the travelers who haven’t been to Europe before (and I presume haven’t been anywhere else either except maybe Mexico) it’ll knock their socks off. miguel — Hit The Road! Hi Tom As a beach destination, the area round Marbella-Toremolinos is not that great IMHO. If you’re from South Dakota, visit Miami or Los Angeles and get more thrills. There was a thread about Marbella in this NG some days back. The marina area (and I can confirm this) is full of upper-class twits. The old town of Marbella is very pretty though. The real places to visit are inland, specifically (as well as Seville) you have to see Granada, Toledo, Cordoba. You might look at Jerez as a location, aslo it’s very close to the white villages and the beach is not far, also that nature reserve on the river whose name I can’t remember either. Plus all those sherry bodegas for real. I once transited from Morocco to Algecieras many years ago. Can’t say how it is now. I recall Algecieras was a stinking dump back then, but then I saw a TV documentary about Paco de Lucia a few weeks back (it’s his home town) and it seems to have gone strictly up-market in recent years. Tom (not South Dakota)

Ah yes, the "unbiased" CAIR, mentioned in Steven Emerson’s book "American Jihad" as a leading funneler of funds to terrorist organizations.  Here’s one of the "factual" articles:   U.S. Muslims say "War Crimes" committed in Jenin   http://www.cair-net.org/asp/article.asp?articleid=732&articletype=3 Notice how the article just sits there in spite of the now weeks-old repudiation of its allegations. Response:

I bought a Haynes book on the Volkswagen Golf/Bora because I have the Audi A3 1.6 and there is no specific book on the market for it. However the engine is Exactly the same as the VW golf 1.6, and many other features are almost identical. Very handy.

Good one. I mean, good 10. I can pass all the rules, but I don’t want to bomb anyone or flag up. Maybe those choices are part of  rule 11? It is not as though anything has changed since September 11, except in our own minds. How scary is that? Not very. Normal human behavior among the semi-sane masses.

the way things are going, by this time next week finding Afghanistan on any map could prove difficult Zardos. Take a good look at me, just your typical prototype. WebPage at www.hispc.demon.co.uk
