If you were to find a picture of the one you are speaking of, that would make it a lot easier to tell you what it is…if it’s anything at all. A lot of Western-"tribal" has little meaning other than decoration. His current band is Soulfly and is a "Christian Band." *Sidenote* The tribal designs may (read: probably) have meaning, the wearer just may not have any idea what it means. The insult wasn’t gratuitous at all. They are Stupid Americans. That’s not to say that all Americans are stupid. But the ones with "stupid squiggly shit" (not to pick a nit..but it’s not all squiggly. Yes and No I said that 99.44% of every "tribal" I have seen is black swirly shit. I did not say a thing about western or "American" . even a lot I’ve seen on indigenes is black swirly shit. Calling it "tribal" is what is bullshit. Tribal belongs to "A" tribe. All that being said having black swirly shit on your arm does not make you stupid. If you want black shit on your arm go for it. I personally have a piece on my arm that is made up of traditional Polynesian shapes , and it was even hammered in by hand but it IS NOT tribal. actually it is not even black squiggly shit. it is red and blue trianglely scarred shit
