I'm relaxing at home now. It's been a very long two weeks, so I deserve an afternoon off. No, really, I do.
I'm taking the time to update the blogroll. Mostly that means pruning the blogs that effectively died since the last time I did that.
Thinking about a Pinchas ben Yair paper that takes a good look at holymen in Roman Palestine and in Sassania. There's going to be a lot of secondary readings (Dr. Elman assumes me that Syriac is really no problem at all...) to find the context for the Bavli v. Yerushalmi sources.
Looking forward to Josh's description of Yuterian Judaism, relating to Naomi Chana's pre-wedding post, and, well, not really following the blogosphere that closely. I do think it's a little cute that someone hacked the Jewish Press' website, but I hope nobody's losing money on the deal.
I'm not really in the mood to write anything substantial right now...

Posted by: Zalman at June 1, 2005 02:25 PMearlier in the week (last week, that is), there was a story posted about the army's official declaration that it's pronounced Shabbos and not Shabbes or some such and every link was replaced with a link to that story. it was funny. it's been down ever since.
